HPDE Intro Night
Three 25-minute sessions, following a lead car.
Are you a first-time driver eager to take on the challenges of Calabogie Motorsports Park? Whether you’re new to the track or simply seeking to enhance your skills, our HPDE Introduction Nights offer the perfect opportunity for you to embark on your journey with confidence.
Calabogie Motorsports Park boasts the title of Canada’s longest track, spanning over 5 kilometers with more than 20 thrilling turns. Navigating such a dynamic course demands more than a few laps to master. Our Intro Nights are expertly structured in a lead/follow format, allowing you to acquaint yourself with the track’s nuances, flow, and intricacies.
During these sessions, you’ll have the invaluable guidance of a seasoned driving coach at your disposal. Maximizing your time with them is paramount as you progress towards refining your performance driving skills. By familiarizing yourself with the track layout and its rhythm through our lead/follow introduction program, you’ll accelerate your development on the track.
HPDE Intro Nights are scheduled approximately every 3-4 weeks, conveniently preceding our HPDE events. This strategic scheduling enables you to seamlessly book both events together, optimizing your learning curve and progression. Don’t miss out on this efficient pathway to rapid improvement behind the wheel at Calabogie.
- Follow your coach around the full 5.05 km track and learn the line, how and when to pass safely, where to look and where to apply brakes and throttle correctly.
- There will be up to 3 other cars in your group all following the coach in a Calabogie track car.
- Each session is 25 minutes with a driver briefing in between.
- There often is an HPDE event the week following these events where you can progress to the next stage with an in-car coach.
- M2015 or SA2015 minimum helmet rating required. If you are unsure of your rating or need one, rentals are available for $30.00
- Long pants and proper shoes are required. No sandals or flipflops.
- All coaches are Level II certified with the Motorsports Safety Foundation
- Fully electric vehicles are not permitted to run on the track.
This is your entry to high performance driving experiences. Â
- This program is a lead follow format that will introduce you to on track skills and best practices to performance driving. Follow your instructor around the full 5.05 km track and learn the line, learn how and when to pass safely, learn where to look and learn where to apply the brakes and throttle.Â
- There will be up to 3 other cars in your group on track all following the coach in a Calabogie Mustang.Â
- Each session is 25 minutes on track with a driver briefing in between all 3 sessions.Â
- M2015 or SA2015 minimum helmet rating required. If you are unsure of your rating or need one, rentals are available for $30.00Â
- Long pants and proper shoes are required. No sandals or flipflops.Â
- Fuel is available onsite. 94 and 91 octane.Â
- All coaches are Level II certified with the Motorsports Safety FoundationÂ

 Will I get signed off to drive solo after this ?Â
- Not after 1 event. Most drivers with no previous track experience will require a minimum of a full day with an instructor in-car through our full or half day HPDE programs. This is not a guarantee, and sign off is at the sole discretion of the MSF certified instructor. Drivers need to demonstrate they are comfortable at speed, can give and take passes safely and know the rules. It’s never the same from one driver to the next. Safety of our drivers and coaches is important and we encourage you to listen to everything the coaches tell you.

- Cancellations Outside of 5 Days Before the Event
- Eligible for a full refund.
- Cancellations 2–5 Days Before the Event
- Refund available, minus a $150 administration fee.
- If a coach was booked, their fees are non-refundable.
- Cancellations Within 48 Hours of the Event
- No refunds.
- Date transfers are allowed with a $100 administration fee.
- If a coach was booked, their fees are non-refundable.
